ABSTRACT :
When a patient is affected with cancer it brings about a large physical, emotional stress not only on him but his family as well. The evidence is particularly strong that increased consumption of fruit and vegetables reduces the risk of oral cancer and in this session, we will be discussing various sources, mechanisms and effects the micronutrients and antioxidants from natural sources that help preventing or aiding the progression of the disease. The objective is to learn the basic dietary code that a dentist can advise in a precancerous or cancerous stage.
